Claissification of Tasks Flashcards
Performed in a predictable and stable environment. Movements can be planned in advance. (e.g. oral care, signing a check, bowling)
Closed Tasks
An individual must deal with environmental conditions that are in motion during activity performance; the motion is consistent and predictable between trials (e.g. stepping onto an escalator, assembly line work, retrieving luggage from an airport baggage carousel)
Consistent Motion Tasks
Tasks with a recognizable beginning and end (e.g. kick a ball, push a button)
Discrete Tasks
Comprised of a series of movements linked together to make a “whole” (e.g. Play an instrument, dressing, light a fireplace)
Serial Tasks
Involve interacting with a stable and predictable environment, but specific features of the environment are likely to vary between performance trials (e.g. performance of ADL outside of the usual home environment)
Variable Motionless Tasks
Performed in a constantly changing environment that may be unpredictable (e.g. driving in traffic, catching an insect, soccer)
Open Tasks
There is no recognizable beginning and end. Tasks are performed untily they are arbitrarily stopped. (e.g. joigging, drivving, swimming)
Continuous Tasks
