what did Parliament create after the battle of Edge Hill?

who did King Charles have fighting for him and why was this a problem?
he had prince Rupert fighting for him and it was a problem because prince Rupert fought a small part of the battle with the cavalry but then instead of coming back to help him (like what orders where given him) he rode off and slaughtered all the other soldiers that had escaped into the village. because of this, the caviller’s flag was almost taken.
In the battle of Marson Moor, should they have fought or should they have stayed and prepared give reasons for you explanation.
I think they should’ve stayed where they were because Rupert thought that they would have the same tactics like when the battle of Edge Hill. but in fact they had the new model army and more men than Charles’s side did. but also, the roundheads had less weapons because they lift them in a cart, also the Cavillers would have an upper ground. this is good so if they wanted to attack from above they could.
what is the new model army?
an army that Oliver Cromwell created after the battle of Edge Hill. they had better tactics, better shape and plan, better armour and a better cavalry.
what did Oliver Cromwell do to King Charles?
he gave him an unfair trial. over half the parliament said to give Charles another chance but to strip him of most of his powers but Cromwell didn’t agree with this so he ordered the parliamentarians to not come in for the final vote to see if Charles should die or not. the rest of the parliamentarians voted to execute him so they did.

John Bradshaw.
where was Charles’s sentence?
Westminster hall.
when was Charles’s trial?
20th of January 1649
what did parliament have to do to get some executioners?
he had to get some drunk people to do it because everyone else thought they’d be committing treason. but the drunk people wanted to wear a mask so they couldn’t be recognised after the execution.
