Connecticut “Great” Compromise, Commerce and Slave Trade Compromise, Three-Fifths Compromise, Electoral College Compromise
How does the Constitution limit the power of the government?
Three branches have their own powers that “check” the power of each branch, protects our rights through Bill of Rights, etc.
How did ratification of the Constitution work?
States held conventions to vote on the Constitution, 9 of 13 states were needed for official ratification
Who were the Federalists and Anti-Federalists?
Federalists supported the Constitution, Anti-Federalists were against it
Why was the Bill of Rights created?
To protect people’s rights; it was a compromise for ratification of the Constitution
According to God’s Word, how should we treat people?
Be kind, forgive one another, love your neighbor, etc.
