What are civil liberties?
They provide basic rights and freedoms. They protect people from other people and the government.
What are civil rights?
Prevent discrimination based on age, gender, belief in religion, sexual orientation, and race.
What is Habeas Corpus?
Physical evidence to prove they did the crime.
What is Selective Incorporation?
Process by which different protections in the Bill of Rights were incorporated or applied to the states using the 14th Amendment.
Describe the 14th Amendment?
Guarantees the people’s protection under the law.
What is the exercise clause?
Protects citizens right to believe and to practice any religion.
What is the exclusionary rule?
Courts ability to exclude evidence obtained in violation of the 4th Amendment.
