What is global governance?
A system where governments, organizations, (etc) work together to address global issues
IGOs and INGOs
What is an international law?
Binding international rules for countries to follow (ex. United Nations Charter)
What are intergovernmental organizations?
Groups made up of countries that work together to address global issues (ex. UN, NATO) (specific parts in global governance)
What are international non-governmental organizations?
Groups made up of individuals (not governments) that work together to solve global issues (international)
Actual processes, unlike intergovernmentalism
What is a civil society?
People and organizations working together on solving social issues without being part of the government (local, national, or international)
What is intergovernmentalism?
An idea that countries should work together to solve issues, while keeping their independence.
Only countries, does not include INGOs.
What is supranationalism?
An idea that countries should give up part of sovereignty to IGOs and follow their fair decisions
