What is the 2pt tactile discrimination?
Pt being able to distinguish sensation at two points close to one another
Input for spinal n spots
Biceps: C5
Triceps: C6
Quads: L2-4
Gastrocnemius: L5-S2
What are the symptoms of a cerebellar lesion?
Dysmetria, dysdiadochokinesia, ataxia, intention tremor, slurred speech, asthenia
There are 3 groups one can be classified in after head trauma, what are their requirements?
G1: trauma, no s/sx, no external injuries
G2: trauma, external injuries, no s/sx
G3: trauma, external injuries, changes in vitals, disorientation or syncope, focal neurological problems
What artery is ruptured in an epidural hematoma?
Middle meningial a around the temporal region (d/t a fracture o this area)
The different onsets and progression of sx?
Progressive:
Episodic: MS, vascular dx, sx then remission.. Repeat
Abrupt/Acute: sudden onset followed by gradual impovement
