Kwashiorkor Disease: Cause and symptoms

A

Severe protein deficiency. Sufficient calories, but insufficient protein. Usually occurs after weaning.
Symptoms: Anemia, Enlarged fatty liver, Irritable.
Shiny skins, light colored skin, thinning hair, ulcerating dermatoses, edema on feet and hands.

A
