A double circulatory system

Right ventricle
What does the right ventricle do
Pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs to take in oxygen. Blood is then returned to the heart.
What is deoxygenated blood
Blood without oxygen
What ventricle is in the second circulatory system
Left ventricle
What does the left ventricle do
Pumps oxygenated blood around the body to the organs.
How does the heart pump blood around the body
Contracts
What are the hearts walls made out of
Muscle tissue
What do valves do in the heart
Make sure blood flows in the right direction and does not flow backwards
How many chambers does the heart have
Four chambers
What are the four chambers
Right ventricle,left ventricle ,right atrium and left atrium
Describe how blood flows around the body in simple 5 stages
Blood flows into the two atriums from the vena cava and pulmonary vein
The atria contacts and blood moves into the ventricles
Ventricles contract and blood flows into the pulmonary artery band aorta and out of the heart
Blood flows to the organs and the cycle starts over again
What does the heart have its own supply of
Oxygenated blood
How does the heart get its supply of oxygenated blood
There are coronary arteries that branch off the aorta
