How could the pulmonary system be described in terms of resistance and pressure?
Low resistance, low pressure (as opposed to systemic circulation)

Brain and hepatic portal vein.
What is special about portal circulations?
It connects two capillary beds
Which arteries join to form the basilar artery?
The two vertebral arteries.
Which arteries join to the form circle of willis, and where is it?
The basilar artery (from 2 vertebral arteries) and 2 internal carotid arteries. circle of willis at the base of the brain.
What are the benefits of the hepatic portal circulation?
quicker metabolism of stuff, regulation of what enters systemic circulation, metabolism of toxic substances.
