A
The aux circ pump first to back fill the condenser and main circulating lines and to prevent damaging the condenser.

After 1 hour of starting a pump VARS need to be adjusted to zero. The pump will trip if VARS get over 100 out

A
To provide head pressure to the ACW system pumps and surge protection

- What precautions should you take when starting the first Aux. Cooling water pump?
A
Use the Discharge bypass to fill the system to prevent and hammering, and if initially filling system use your high bleed points in the system to remove trapped air.
