Cell Definition:
A store of internal chemical energy that can be transfered as an electric current in a circiut.
Battery define: (2)
A chemical supply of electrical energy. It is a group of cells.
Bulb define:
When a current flows, the bulb gets hot and glows.
Open switch define:
Open means no current flows
Closed switch define:
closed means a current flows.
Motor define:
Converts electrical energy to mechanical energy.
Buzzer define:
Converts electricity into sound energy.
Voltmeter define:
A device used to measure potential difference or voltage.
Ammeter definition:
A device used to measure electric current.

Parallel - Side by side

Series - they make a simple loop for the current to flow around
Parallel - The current has a choice of routes (paths)
What happens if one bulb blows (series and parallel)?
Series - All the bulbs turn off
Parallel - The current can take another path to light other bulbs
How are Voltemeters connected?
In parallel to the component you are testing the voltage of.
