Circuit Flashcards
Steps 1
Line up aircraft on centre line
Step 2
Rolling aim point, full power, flash RPM, normal acceleration.
Step 3
rotate 50 kts pitch nose up to just below horizon.
Step 4
Airborne 50 ft positive rate of climb 57 kts.
Step 5
Climb-out choose an aim point to fly straight on, 74kts do flight anagrams or whatever they’re called.
Step 6
Lookout ASPT 1000ft exit climb and check spacing.
Step 7
Downwind turn 30 degree from threshold this is when you turn.
Step 8
Pre-landing checks, BUMFISH – brakes check pressure, undercarriage fixed, mixture is automatic, turn fuel pump on use the fullest tank if using Texan, instruments, switches and hatches.
Step 9
A beam threshold maintain altitude reduce power and add some back pressure, slowing down below white arc is when you put down first stage of flap then trim.
Step 10
Base turn made at 45 degrees lookout whenever turning.
Step 11
Mid base asses approach minimum height must be 500ft nothing below that, should be around 750 ft, if above or below rude or increase power to get to appropriate ft take second stage of flap pitch forward then trim.
Step 12
AAAC – aimpoint runway numbers midpoint to the windscreen, aspect profile of runway should stay relatively the same proportion to high is thinner below is thicker, airspeed, centreline, third stage of flap is done depending.
