  • Sound in the film world
  • Sound caused by some event on screen, and which matches the action (Dialogue, sound effects, music)
  • Also known as known as Foreground Music, which finds its sound within the screen events (radio, TV, stereo)

  • Sound effects- may have been dubbed in for emphasis (door creaking, gun shot)
  • Atmospheric music- fast paced action music, slow dramatic music
  • Music stabs- horror films
