Captures emotion and body language, can frame multiple subjects at once also shows setting.
What is an MCU? Why is it used
Medium close up, torso/ chest up
Most natural shot, reflects how we interact with people can include pace for setting
What is a CU why is it used?
Draws attention to facial expressions, builds emotional connections between spectator and subject, signifies that something is important
What is an ECU why is it used?
Extreme close up, facial feature
Focuses on specific portion, sensory moment, communicates tiny details to small to notice otherwise
What are the different types of camera shots?
Establishing

Why is an establishing shot used
Establishes setting, geography, time of day, and be used when changing scenes
Why is a pov shot used?
Realism understand what the character sees
How can camera movements effect a scene?
Reveals info in a dramatic fashion establishes characters perspective convey sense of space suggests mood return a sense of balance in the composition
