Cicero’s consulship
Catiline Conspiracy. Execution of conspirators. Enemies of the state. This completely went against his principals. Catiline was old, tradition patrician and he was campaigning for their execution. Saying he is doing good for Rome. Many scholars say this was an exaggeration AS WAS SEEKING TO RAISE OWN GLORY. Consequences in the future. Concordia ordinum though as senators and equites were persuaded for executuion. Worked with Cato.
Fought Rullus’ land reform and agrarian bills. They would give too much power to individuals. But also would be used to exploit Roman people and corruption
