Who gets CLL and what symptoms?
A
Mainly elderly patients picked up of FBC.
Most common leukaemia in adults.
Can cause lymphadenopathy and B symptoms.

CLL- blood results?
A
Anaemia, lymphocytosis.
Polyclonal accumulation of mature lymphocytes, B cells, that are fragile and burst on blood film -> smear cells.

CLL- treatment?
A
Majority never progress and don’t need treatment.

Anaemia, recurrent infections, warm haemolytic anaemia, transform into high grade non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma via…
Ritcher’s transformation- lymph node swelling, fever without infection, weight loss, night sweats, nausea, abdominal pain.
