  • OR presence of GFR < 60 mL/min for 3 months w/ or w/o other signs of kidney damage

  • some pts remain asymptomatic
  • fatigue, malaise, edema
  • cardiac: HTN, HF, pericarditis, CAD
  • GI: anorexia, N/V
  • skin: pruritus, pallor
  • seizures
