Catholics= The bible and the church have equal authority since they are both inextricably linked through the work of the holy spirit
Protestantism= Protestantism relies on ‘sola scripture’ and doesn’t think we need the church to interpret the bible as the bible word for word is correct

The idea that god sustains creation and keeps order in this chaotic universe. If god ceased to sustain the universe, it would cease to exist.

Jesus in the sermon on the mount is showing his role as the role model over humanity. an eye for eye resembles how justice needs to be made in society. He also states love your neighbor but also love your enemies.

What are some of Karl barths views on the bible and god under the neo-orthodoxy denomination?
Barth held that in other religions are humanities attempt to reach god whereas Christianity is gods attempt to reach humanity. For Barth he said that ‘scripture is a vehicle through which god may be experienced’. the text and experience becomes authoritative for the reader.God does not reveal himself through the bible but instead through Jesus. Barth also held the bible is fallible.
