- God is holy.

- omnipotent (almighty/ all powerful)
- omni benevolent (all loving)
- just (fair, perfect judge)
What is the trinity?
The belief that there are three persons in God.
(father, son, holy spirit.)
What are the roles of the trinity?
Holy spirit- unseen work of God.
The son- God incarnate through Jesus.
The Father- creator of all life.
Why is Jesus’ crucifixion important?
Christians believe:
Their sins will be forgiven if they repent.
God understands human suffering.
Suffering is a part of life.
What is the ascension?
It is when Jesus returned to the Father in heaven.
Significance of Jesus’ resurrection?
- Shows Christians how much God loves them and his power.
- gives confidence in the face of death
- hope of future with Jesus.
- show how life after death is real.
What does the parable of the sheep and the goats show and teach?
How God will judge people.
In serving others you are serving Jesus.
What are God’s judgements based on?
behaviour, actions and faith in Jesus
What did Jesus tell his disciples it was essential to do in order to enter heaven?
Have faith in him and follow his teachings.
What is purgatory?
intermediate state where souls are cleansed in order to enter heaven. (Catholic)
What is hell?
State of existence without God
What do some Christians believe about the afterlife?
They will be resurrected and receive eternal life.
