What do Christians do the pray physically.

In Orthodox, people stand to pray.
Anglicans may kneel.
Other Christians raise their hands

What do Christians believe God will do when he hears their prayers?
He will answer them but not when or in the way they wanted or were expecting.
Why do some Christians pray informally?
Because they feel it is easier for them to open their hearts and get the message accross when it is their own words.
Private worship does what?
Builds up discipline which gives them strength to cope in times of trouble. It encourages a routine. It helps them find peace a a sense of communion with God.
What is the Lord’s Prayer?
Our father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespassess,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever,
Amen.
What is the importance of the Lord’s prayer?
It shows Christians how to pray. It reminds them they must forgive others in order to be forgiven. It reminds them thet God is the father of the whole community, not just the individual. It brings a sense of unity and spiritual purpose in society.
