What are the 2 types of Revelation in Christianity?
General Revelation and Special Revelation.
What is General Revelation?
The way God reveals Himself through His creations—E.g. nature, conscience.
What is Special Revelation?
A precise way God shows Himself to help people is through direct communication—E.g., the Bible, Jesus Christ, Prophecies, etc.
What is Incarnation?
When God takes physical form through a person.
How is Jesus Christ connected to Incarnation?
It is believed that Jesus is God, he is one of three aspects of the triune God.
What is Resurrection?
The reanimation of the human body after death.
How is the resurrection connected to Christianity?
This concept refers to the resurrection of Jesus three days after his death.
What is Salvation?
Through the death and resurrection of the incarnate Jesus, all humanity is freed for all time from sin.
How do Christian adherents participate in their salvation?
Sinners should seek forgiveness, confess, and make amends to God for their wrongdoings.
Some Christian traditions involve confessions being made to religious leaders.
What is Human Dignity?
Humans believe that they are made in the likeness and image of God. Reinforcing the concept of equality amongst all people, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
