Eucharist
A shared meal of bread and wine the same that was shared at the last supper. Helps Christian’s remember Jesus and his sacrifice
Sacraments
The 7 sacraments at baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, anointing of the the sick, Holy Orders, marriage, reconciliation
Persecution
“Blessed are you when people insults you, persecute you.. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven”
Private worship
“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen”
Worship
Liturgical - takes place in church, led by a priest with a set order
Non Liturgical - takes place in a church, led by a priest with no set order
Informal - not always in a church, and may involve dancing or clapping

Pilgrimage
A journey by a believer to a holy site for religious reasons
Lourdes-in the South West of France. St Bernadette saw the visions of the Virgin Mary. Now thousands of pilgrims visit Lourdes to pray at the Grotto
Iona-an island of the west coast of Scotland. Some people believe it is a ‘thin place’ where the spiritual world and the real world is closer and Gods presence is greater

The churches in the UK wanted to help with the famine in 1968 in Nigeria, so set up the tearfund. Now they respond to disasters and helping vulnerable communities
