1. Has the text been deliberately taken out of context or used a poor translation?
2. Are a range of texts used or has whole decision been based on single quote in unusual passage?
3. Is a particular selection of passages being used: just OT, gospels, or Paul’s letters rather than bible as a whole?
4. Are contradictions being managed, or ignored? Does somewhere else in the bible directly contradict what they’re saying?
