what is The Big Bang Theory?
Tiny, dense collection of mass.
A massive explosion of space took place and the condensed matter was flung in all directions
As the universe expanded and called, the matter became stars grouped into galaxies
The universe has continued to expand over billions of years to form the cosmos as we all know today
attitudes to big bang theory
christians believe that the universe was designed and made by God out of nothing
The theory is accepted by most Christians
Liberal Christians do not believe the Genesis creation stories as a literal account of what happened – metaphor but God did create
theory of evolution
Life started with a single cell creature in the sea, over a long period of time they evolve into creatures capable of living land
Human started evolving around 2.5 million years ago
They developed into human with the same antimony as us about 200,000 years ago
Genesis
Genesis one says that God created our life, with human life being created last
Genesis 2 tells us that God created the first man Adam from the soil and breathe life into him. Well, Adam was asleep. God took one of his ribs and use it to create into a woman.
Abortion
Abortion can only happen during the first 24 weeks of pregnancy otherwise the mother life is a danger
attitude to abortion
christians believe in the sanity of life this means that human life is sacred as it is made in the image and all human life should be valued and respected
many Christians who believe life begins at the moment of contraception think abortion is wrong as it is taken away life given by God
Some Christians think abortion is sometimes acceptable
Pro choice view
Mother’s life is more important they have to carry, give birth so they should have the choice. Life doesn’t start until the feotus can survive without.
Pro life view
Life begins at contraception, abortion is murder, disabled children can enjoy quality of life, unwanted children could be adopted, abortion can lead to depression/guilt
Attitude to the theory of evolution
fundamentalist – do not believe in the theory of evolution. They believe God created all species separately.
majority of Christians accept the theory but believe that God is creator: he started the process and evolution explains how life developed after 
what is euthanasia?
Is the pain is killing of a patient who is suffering from an incurable and painful illness.
involuntary, nonvoluntary , passive, active
Ways of abortion
Involuntary – person is capable but doesn’t have a say
Non-voluntary – person is too ill to ask i.e. coma and doctors in life for their best interest
Voluntary – person asked because they don’t want to live anymore
Passive – withdrawn medicine – legal
Active – deliberate attempt to end life – illegal
attitude to euthanasia
Christian – against sanity of life believe if legal there many old people would feel pressured to end
Some Christians believe it is the most loving thing to do God gave free well so people should be able to choose
Death and afterlife
christian’s believe that Jesus resurrected is evidence of afterlife.
Many Christians believe that after death they are judged by God and will either be internally with God or internally without God.
The desire to God motivates to faith in Jesus and follow his teachings. 
Some people believe that people will be in heaven in physical bodies while others believe it is just their souls that enter into heaven
