A

A

Comes thorugh the Royal Doors to receive bread and wine. He consecrates a selected loaf of bread.
He says the words Jesus said at The Last Supper.
He divides the bread in 4. 3 of the parts are consecrated as the body and blood of Christ. He breaks the 4th piece into smaller pieces
He says prayers of thanksgiving

What happens on sundays?

A

There are three readings from the Bible, a psalm and a homily.
People say prayers for the church, the world, the local community the sick and the dead. This is proceeded by the Creed on Sundays.

A holy communion in the Anglican church is almost identical to which other church? What is this difference?

A

The Catholic Church. The ‘peace’ is said at different points of the service. Catholics do it after the Lord’s Prayer. Anglicans do it before the offering of bread and wine are brought to the altar.

The congregation prays for the world and for the needs of particular people.
The minsister reminds the congregation of Jesus’ words and actions at the last supper. They take bread and wine, says a prayer of thanksgiving over them, including the words of Jesus, ‘This is my body’ and ‘This is my blood’
