What happens in a Holy Communion service?
There are hymns, prayers and a reading from the Bible.
The priest comes through the Royal Doors to chant the Gospel.

What things does the priest do?
Comes thorugh the Royal Doors to receive bread and wine. He consecrates a selected loaf of bread.
He says the words Jesus said at The Last Supper.
He divides the bread in 4. 3 of the parts are consecrated as the body and blood of Christ. He breaks the 4th piece into smaller pieces
He says prayers of thanksgiving
Hod does Catholic mass begin?
with a greeting from the priest, and prayers of penance and praise (the ‘gloria’)

What happens on sundays?
There are three readings from the Bible, a psalm and a homily.
People say prayers for the church, the world, the local community the sick and the dead. This is proceeded by the Creed on Sundays.

Offerings of bread and wine are brought to the altar.

A holy communion in the Anglican church is almost identical to which other church? What is this difference?
The Catholic Church. The ‘peace’ is said at different points of the service. Catholics do it after the Lord’s Prayer. Anglicans do it before the offering of bread and wine are brought to the altar.
Holy Communion in Non-Conformist churches typically have these elements:

There is an ‘open table’ so anyone who wishes to take communion may receive the bread and wine
People may come forward to receive the bread and wine. In some places the bread is cut beforehand, in others people break a piece off as it is passed around the seated congregation. The wine is sometimes non-alcoholic and served in small cups.
There is a prayer of thanksgiving, blessing and an encouragement to go out into the world and servde God.
