LOCATION:
-Sphincter muscle surrounding eye socket
ACTION:
- closes eye lid
- compresses Lacrimal sac

(Frowning muscle)
LOCATION:
- Pyramid shaped
- Beneath frontalis and obicularis oculi
ACTION:
- draws brows inferiorly and medially
Levator Palpabrea superioris
LOCATION:
- inside eye socket
- DUPERIOR to tarsal plate
ACTION:
- raises upper eyelid

LOCATION:
- Covers bridge of nose
ACTION:
- draws skin of forehead inferiorly
- Causes TRANSVERSE & VERTICAL wrinkles
OBICULARIS ORIS
LOCATION:
- flat band of muscle around red and integumentary lips
ACTION:
- closes lips
- compresses lips against teeth
- Shapes lips during speech

LOCATION:
- upper frontal process of maxilla
- inserts into skin of LATERAL part of the nostril and UPPER lip
ACTION:
- Raises upper lip
- Dilates nostril

- originates in zygomatic process of maxilla / maxillary process of zygomatic bone
- insertion of muscle blends into upper lip
