What kind of presentation would you expect with chorioamnionitis?
A
- fever
- ruptured membranes
- no evidence of UTI or URTI
- foul discharge
- tachycardia
- tenderness of uterus

What antibiotics do you give in chorio?
A
ampicillin/amoxycillin IV/oral for 7 days
PLUS
erythromycin oral for 7 days

Complications of chorio
A
- bacteremia of mother or fetus
- wound infection if C/S
- pelvic abscess
- infant meningitis - at high risk for cerebral palsy
