eating at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day. basing meals on potatoes, bread, rice, pasta or other starchy carbohydrates, ideally wholegrain.

depends on health and age groups with different nutrients and portion size
different nutritional needs / different life stages
young children and teenagers need more nutrients to grow such as protein and calcium and carbs and adults need more fibre/ elderly people need more vitamins and calcium
