Why was foreign aid a factor

A

US allied with China, Us gave loans and resources to China and restricted flow of military supplies to Japan
- froze Japanese assets in us banks and sent supplies to china along the Burma road (lend lease), advisors and volunteers given to China

A

-took as long as possible to declare war so that he could work on strengthening his army , wanted to win by exhausting the Japanese, deployed troops to Shanghai ( flooded yellow river , prolonged conflict)
Traded space for time these meant it wasn’t the easy war japan though it was

We’re running out of resources we’re blocked into a corner, stretched themselves too thin, stayed too long in nanking . 3 all’s and rape of nanking meant Chinese weren’t happy and wanted revenge inspired revolt
