There have been dramatic changes in the Chilean sparkling wine industry in recent years. The exploration of new cooler climate regions for still wine has been extremely positive for sparkling wine too, and now a number of major brands are adding a sparkling wine to their product range.
Location- Chile
Limari, Casablanca, Leyda, Bio Bio
Climate- Chile
Warm Mediterranean, with cooling sea breezes.
Grape Varieties- Chile
No restrictions but Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the most popular.
Winery- Chile
Most sparkling wines are made by tank method; however, traditional method sparkling wines are becoming increasingly popular.
Classifications- Chile
Chilean sparkling wines can be made in all styles from Brut Nature to Dulce. Grape variety, vintage date and/ or geographical origin may be declared on the label if a minimum of 85% of the wine goes from the specified grape, year, or origin.
