Q

describe how language socialisation is socially defined

A

in the West it is believed that infant direct conversation between mothers&babies is the best way to build language
But mothers in other cultures do not regularly speak directly to babies and these children still reach the linguistic milestones at a similar rate - children in these contexts learn from attending to others’ interactions
