Not everywhere in the world children are expected to have a childhood so it varies on time, place and culture

What is meant by historical changes in childhood and what did ariès say?
A
Ariès states that childhood is a recent invention. In the medieval times children were seen as mini humans and worked from a very early age. There is paintings from the era which show children dressed like adults which show the lack of separatism between childhood and adulthood
