Chemistry Flashcards
Decomposition Reaction
One reaction breaks into two or more products
Thermal Decomposition Reaction
Require heat to break the bonds in the reactions
Combination Reaction
Two or more reactants combine to form one product
Precipitation Reaction
Two soluble reactants combine to form one insoluble product and a solution
Neutralisation Reaction
An acid reacts with a base to produce salt and water
Acids And Metals
Acids react with metals to form a salt (often solution) and hydrogen gas
Acids And Carbonates
An acid added to a metal carbonate will produce a metal salt, carbon dioxide and water
Displacement
A metal and a metal salt or acid combine to form a different metal salt and metal or H2
Combustion
A fuel and oxygen combine to give carbon dioxide and water
