Q

Combustion

A

When a hydrocarbon fuel reacts with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide and water vapor.
Ex. Methane + Oxygen —> Carbon Dioxide + Water
CH4 + 2O2 —> CO2 + 2H2O
(Oxygen, Nitrogen, & Sulfur are OK in a hydrocarbon)
