The employment of chemical agents that are intended to kill, seriously injure, or incapacitate personnel

Blister agents

What is M9 chemical paper?
Paper that detects the presents of liquid chemical agents by turning red or reddish
DOES NOT DETECT VAPOR AGENTS
What is Atropine?
A specific therapy used to treat nerve agent casualties
What is Biological Warfare?
The use of agents to cause disease, sickness, or death
What are the 2 types of biological warfare agents?
Pathogens - bacteria and fungi
Toxins - animal and plant venoms
What is IPE?
IPE is Individual Protective Equipment such as masks, garments, and gloves used to protect an individual from exposer to chemical/ biological exposure
What is Radiological Warfare?
The deliberate use of radiological weapons to produce widespread injury and death of all life
What are the 5 types of nuclear explosions?
High altitude air burst - 100,000 feet Air burst Surface burst - has the worst fallout Shallow underwater burst Deep underwater burst
What is a Ready-shelter?
Shelter stations that are near battle stations and provide minimum shielding
What is a Deep-shelter?
Shelter station furthest away from battle stations and provide maximum shielding

What is MOPP?
Mission Oriented Protective Posture
How many levels does MOPP have, and what is the highest level?
There are 5 levels to MOPP: levels 0 - 4
MOPP level 4 is the highest level and it is when you put on gloves with liners, untie bow in retention cord, loop between legs and secure to web belt
