Support for 2nd petition?

A

O’Connor regained support following his release from prison and he proposed a second national petition, calling for a new convention to meet in 1842 to arrange the petition’s presentation to Parliament.

What happened to William Lovett?

A

He was released from prison in 1840, following his imprisonment for sedition.

He became convinced whilst in prison that educational initiatives would advance the individual sufficiently.

Upon his release, he created the National Assosication Promoting the Political and Social Improvement of the People.
