because never in a civilization did people advocated for this and even though they are influential, more and more people start thinking about these things

because it was a staging base for catholics to attack English protestants

he passed the Navigation Acts of 1651 which benefit English shippers and merchants

it hels the middle class and merchant class (burgeoise) which is basically the base for PURITAN SUPPORT

Most people are done with Cormwell and puritans cuz they are too strict and they want their monarchy back
