Trojan who leads his people to Italy after the fall of Troy in order to found a new city. His descendants will found Rome.
Dido
Queen of Carthage and lover of Aeneas. Her brother, Pygmalion, killed her first husband, Sychaeus. Dido lead some people from Tyre to found Carthage in Lybia.
Turnus
Ruler of the Rutulians in Italy. Lavinia’s leading suitor.
Ascanius/Iulus
Aeneas’ son who is fated to found Alba Longa which will become Rome.
Creusa
Aeneas’ wife, Ascanius’ mother, and daughter of Priam. Lost and killed in Troy.
Sinon
A Greek who pretends to be left behind in Troy by the Greeks and persuades the Trojans to take the wooden horse into the city.
Latinus
King of the Latins and father of Lavinia
Lavinia
Latinus’ daughter. Fated to be Aeneas’ wife.
Amata
Queen of Laurentum (region of Latium) and Latinus’ wife.

King of Pallanteum (region of Arcadia) and father of Pallas

Hector’s wife. Survived the siege of Troy

Trojan prince, Hector’s brother. Handsomest of men, asked to judge who was the most beautiful out of Minerva, Juno, and Venus. Chose Venus as she promised him Helen in marriage.
Helen
Most beautiful of mortal women, Menelaus’ wife.

Leader of Greek army at Troy. King of Argos and Menelaus’ brother
Priam
King of Troy. Slain in front of Aeneas during the fall of Troy
Pyrrhus
Achilles’ son. Also called Neoptolemus. Kills Polites and Priam.

King of Tyre. Dido’s brother and the killer of her husband
Sychaeus
Dido’s first husband. Richest man in Tyre - killed by Pygmalion.
Thymoetes
A Trojan who wanted to take the wooden horse into Troy
Capys
A Trojan who wanted to burn the wooden horse, throw it into the sea, or bore holes into its stomach.
Laocoon
Priest of Apollo. Trojan who says to beware of the Greeks and their gifts - threw spear into the wood of the horse’s stomach (death for this)
Calchas
Greek prophet - Sinon says he was manipulated by Ulixes to name Sinon as the sacrifice (lies)
Cassandra
Daughter of Priam. Trojan prophetess who is cursed to always tell correct prophecies but have no one believe her.
Panthus
Priest of Apollo who fights with Aeneas in Troy after getting his grandson and the sacraments and the gods of the temples to safety in Anchises’ house. Died in Troy.
Coroebus
One of the Trojans who fought with Aeneas in the fall of Troy. Had come to to Troy a few days earlier - in love with Cassandra. Dies.
Androgeos
Greek fighter who sees Aeneas and his men and mistakes them for Greeks in Troy - him and all his men are killed
Polites
One of Priam’s sons - killed before his parents’ eyes by Pyrrhus
Anchises
Aeneas’ father. Dies in Sicily.

King of Sicily. Son of the river god Crinisus and a Trojan woman.
Mnestheus
Trojan who comes 2nd in the boat race and cut the cord in the archery contest.
Gyas
Comes third in the boat race (his helmsman, Menoetes, steers wide around the rock so he throws his off the ship)
