- Type I, slow twitch fibres are more suited to long endurance sports
- Type II, fast twitch fibres are more suited to fast powerful sports

- Endomorphs: Carry more weight and tend to hold the weight lower are best suited to rugby union
or blocking in American Football. - Mesomorphs: Very muscular and have low body fat and are best suited to bodybuilding and rowing
- Ectomorphs: Skinny and are best suited to long distance running and high jump

- If skills aren’t learnt, confidence levels will decrease and the rate and level of skill acquisition will decrease
- Overconfidence may also result in poor skill acquisition

- Lateral Transfer: Similar order skill to similar order skill
E.G. Learning to skateboard before learning to surf - Vertical Transfer: Lower order skill to higher order skill
