refers to how a given object or event occurred in documented fact
narrative arrangement
sequences a speech like a story, moving from the beginning to the end
extemporaneous speech
refers to a speech that is delivered with few notes or tat seems to be delivered with little or no preparation
enumeration
concerns composing transitions for oral delivery and the creation of mental signposts, which are verbal indications of the direction the speech will take (first, second, one, two, finally, next, etc.)
internal previews and summaries
are more detailed forms of transition that review major points to come or that summarize points that have been said
