A

The grace of the sacraments is conferred by the action of the sacraments having taken place. They all conferred to the Grace they signify. The grace is conferred by Christ and is not dependent on the holiness of the celebrant (priest or celebrant). The fruit of the sacraments (how they affect us) to depend on our dispositions (your actions). We have to have the right disposition to receive the fruits of the sacraments. In conclusion,, that’s what ex opere operato means.
