Sedimentary rocks
Rocks formed from sediments deposited by water, wind or ice
Erosion
The wearing away and removal of rocks from natural elements
Floodplains
Flat, open land beside a river where sediments are deposited through floods
Glaciers
Large bodies of ice that move down slopes
Moraines
Deposit left by a movement of glaciers
Sandstone
A sedimentary with medium sized grains, the grains are cemented together by salts
Mudstone
A fined-grained sedimentary rock without layering
Shale
A fine grained sedimentary rock formed in layer by the consolidations of clay
Siltstone
A sedimentary rock with particle size between that of sandstone and mudstone
Conglomerate
A sedimentary rock containing large particles of various sizes cemented together
Limestone
A sedimentary rock formed from the remains of Dead Sea organisms
Rock salt
A sedimentary deposit formed when a salt lake or sea bed is dried up
