Electronic commerce in which both the buyer & seller are individuals

An organization using electronic commerce internally to provide information & services to it’s employees
Government to citizen (G2C) (E-Government)
Use of electronic commerce to deliver information & public service to citizens, business partners, & suppliers of government entities & those working in public sector
Mobile commerce
The use of wireless handheld devices such as cellular phones and laptops to conduct commercial transactions online

Method by which a company generates revenue to sustain itself
Auction
Competitive process in which either a seller solicits consecutive bids from buyers or a buyer solicits bids from sellers & prices are competitive
Forward auctions
Auctions that sellers use as a selling channel to many potential buyers the highest bidder wins
Reverse auctions
Auctions in which one buyer usually an organization seeks to buy a product or service & suppliers submit bids, lowest bid wins
Electronic marketplace
A virtual market space on the web where many buyers & sellers conduct electronic business activities
