Collection of principles intended to guide decision making by members of the organization
Responsibility
You accept the consequences of your decisions & actions
Accountability
Refers to determining who is responsible for actions that were taken
Liability
Legal concept that gives individuals the right to recover the damages done to them by other individuals, organizations or systems
Sarabanes-Oaxley Act
Requires publicly held companies to implement financial controls & company executives to personally certify financial reports
Privacy issues
Involve collection stering & disseminating information about individuals
Accuracy issues
Authenticity, fidelity & correctness o information that is collected & processed
Property issues
Involve ownership & value information
Accessibility issues
Revolve around who should have access to information & whether they should pay a fee for this access
Privacy
Right to be left alone & to be free of unreasonable personal intrusions
