Jesus is the Savior of the world who reaches out to the poor, women, non-jews, and all who are marginalized
Reason for writing Gospel of Luke
The gospel is the first of two works by the author. The second is that acts of the apostles. The author says it was written so that Theophilus may have certainty abut what he has been taught about Jesus Christ.
Hell
Refers to the state of definitive separation from God and the saints, and so is a state of eternal punishment
Justice
Cardinal Virtue, deals with rights/duties in relation: the commitment, actions and attitudes that come from the commitment, that ensure we give to God and to our neighbor, particularly those who are poor and oppressed, what is properly due them.
Charity
The theological virtue by which we love God above all things, and out of that love of God, we love our neighbor as ourselves
Solidarity
Union of one’s heart and mind with those who are poor or powerless or who face an injustice. it is an act of Christian charity.

To intervene on behalf of another
Annunciation
Biblical event that include the angle Gabriel’s visit to the Virgin Mary to announce that she is to be the Mother of the Savior, Mary’s “yes” to God, and Christ’s conception through the power of the holy spirit.

A term of humility and respectful self-deprecation in the presence of God; a woman who is in servitude to another
Immaculate Conception
The Catholic dogma that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from sin from the first moment of her conception
Assumption
The dogma that recognized that the body of the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken directly to Heaven after her life on Earth had ended.
Natural law
The moral law that can be understood by all people through the use of human reason. It is our God-given ability to understand what it means to be in right relationship with god and others.
Original Sin
The sin by which the first humans disobeyed God and thereby lost their original holiness and became subject to death. Original sin is given to every except Jesus and Mary.
Concupiscene
The tendency for all human beings toward sin, as a result of Original Sin.

Although all have sinned, salvation is available to both Jews and Greeks through faith in Jesus Christ
Reason for writing Letter to Romans
Paul had not been to Rome prior to writing the Letter to the Romans. This letter was his way of introducing himself to the Christians In Rome and letter them begin to understanding his teaching better.
