A private, for-profit prison corporation that staffs and runs prison facilities in a state.
Private Prison
A former inmate’s resumption of criminal activity after his or her release from prison.
Recidivism
An approach to criminal justice that focuses on therapy or education in order to reform the criminal behavior.
Rehabilitation
A wrongful act by a person that results in injury to another person or property in civil law.
