It would look like it has a lot of grass but not very many trees.
Why is the Midwest region an important agriculture region?
It is important because it has a temperate climate which means it is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It has good growing season and enough rain to grow corn.

It is known as the Corn Belt because it has just the right stuff to grow corn.

It helps because it gets farmers water to help with theirs crops.
Why are so many fossils found in the Badlands?
So many fossils are found there because water and sand erodes at the soft rock so it ravels all the fossils that are underneath. Also there were a lot of dinosaurs living there in prehistoric times.
Tell how the St. Lawrence seaway and the Illinois waterway are alike. How are they different?
Alike: they both link the Great Lakes to a river that flows in the ocean.
Different: The Illinois waterway links the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico.
