a serious drug complication of antipsychotics, it involves repetitive sucking and smacking movement of the lips and thrusting of the tongue in and out “fly-catching” and movements of the arms, toes, or fingers.
a person needs to be weaned off the antipsychotic and have a replacement of another drug in its absence. Without doing this they will go through withdrawal
