How many bones are there in the skull?
There are 22 bones in the skull. 8 Cranial bones, 14 facial bones and 3 bones in the middle ear
What do parnasal sinuses do in the skull?
air fulled cells that reduce its weight and increase the vocal resonance
How many Facial bones are there?
14 (12 paired and 2 single)
What do the Maxillary bones do?
fuse the maxillae and form the upper teeth
What is the Paranasal Sinuses?
Sinuses that surround the nasal cavity, lighten the skull bones, and acts to amplify the sounds we make when we speak
What are the Zygomatic bones?
Often referred to as cheekbones
What are Lacrimal bones?
Fingernail sized bones forming part of the medial walls of each orbit (eye)
What is the vomer bone?
the single bone in the median line of the nasal cavity
What is the Inferior Conchae?
Tiny curved bone projecting from the lateral walls to the nasal cavity
What is the Madible?
The lower jaw. The stronget and largest bone of the body.
How many parts are there in the Mandible?
- Mandible Body and The Rami
What is the Hyoid Bone?
bone that is closley related to the mandible and temporal bones (not part of the skull) Toward the bottom. horseshoe shaped
In what ways is an infants skull different from that of an adult?
The skull is usually bigger than the infants body. And the infants face is smaller than the cranium. As well as when the infant is born the skull isnt fully developed
