A

1) uses optic/light waves
2) do not penetrate more than a few mm
3) photos scattered and can generate doppler shift

A

inflate cuff to get volume indicator to < 0.1% = skin perfusion pressure

Interpretation of laser doppler results

A

Skin perfusion > 40 mmHg = likely to heal
SSP 30-40 mmHg = marginal heal
SSP < 30 mmHg = unlikely to heal

A

1) determine healing potential of wound, ulcer, amputation level
